Lava Lounge in Cleveland

Great food, good drinks, low on staff. Hire more people!

My first time here. My wife and I attended some sort of poetry bar crawl (we were sober), and Lava Lounge was the last stop on the train. Seems like a cool spot-like a very artsy feeling local's bar.

Good food, good drinks, good service, good atmosphere! Can't ask for much more, really cool place. Dare I say trendy dive bar? Less dive, more trendy? Highly recommend. Will be back!

Awesome little gem in the heart of Tremont! Great, reasonably priced drinks and food!! Stays open late. Try the penne pasta or the falafel tacos. Highly recommend.

Visited in the past food was little off tonight. The mac and cheese was soupier than normal. Bartender was phenomenal good music and DJ

Great chicken sandwich here coupled sweet potato fries. This place makes their own ketchup. It's different and I'm ok with that. They also showcase local artists work and have l live music.

I came across this place after work on a Thursday, around 8pm. Thought it was closed because no lights were on. Went in for drink... had an app. Everything was just okay. After the sun went down, the lights stayed ridiculously low... which is a shame. The best part about the place is the art in the wall.

Attended a suprised party for a friend at the Lava Lounge. The catered food was OUTSTANDING, atmosphere really cool and bar service was fast, friendly and attentive. We definitely plan on going back with some other friends.

Lava Lounge has terrific food and a great beer selection. Ambiance and music is truly unique and hip. Service is perfect with a really nice staff. Perfect place to grab something quick or drag it out. Tremont has a very gentrified feel nowadays, but Lava keeps it real with good quality and funky atmosphere.

When looking to escape the bright cavernous beer halls, dive into this intimate funky lounge for Chef driven bar food, creative cocktails, craft beer and wine pours. Despite the trendy food and drink, it remains a casual and friendly place with an energetic atmosphere. Good for group parties, romantic dates, and its award-winning happy hour. The courtyard patio is also a treat in warmer seasons. You don't know Tremont unless you've been to Lava Lounge.

Curry on the first visit. Pasta on the second. Both were exceptional! If you are looking for a good meal form 5:00 to 11:30 p.m. this is could be your go to place from now on. Great people, food and cocktails. They’ve figured it out. Experience it for yourself.

I went for drinks with a small group late one Saturday. The cocktails were just the way I like them, potent. We ordered a calamari appetizer to soak up the libations. The calamari were prepared well, the sauce was tangy and delicious. Another table ordered burgers, my mouth watered when they brought them out, and I wasn't hungry. I'm looking forward to getting back. The DJ had just started when we left around half past 12.

Super slow service for mediocre food. Staff was to busy to really deal with us. Will not be returning will patronize other restaurants/bars

Literally the best hidden bar ever. The food here is always amazing. Their cheese board? Amazing. Bar service? Amazing. It's perfect. What are you doing? Pick this place.

Mmmhhhh! The ingredients in the food is always too notch... I love coming but come here because I could not recreate the unique dishes they serve here. The herb vinaigrette dressing on my chopped salad was to die for!!!!

Fantastic food.....excellent service.... we were desperate for food and it seemed everybody's kitchen was closing but the Lava Lounge" barista" was very gracious and said we could do take out. The food was really extraordinary. We savored every bite. I never had mac and cheese quite like this..everything we ordered was mouth-watering.

Groovy little bar with a capable and eclectic kitchen.

This is a neat place to drink, service was decent. Beer selection was very good, but they were pretty empty on a Friday evening. I'd like to give it another try on a busier night.

We have been here the last two weekends in a row. Good drinks, good food, and Jessica is one of the best bartenders in Cleveland.

This place has a nice vibe to it! The food was awesome! The overall service is Terrible. My girlfriend and I went on a Friday, not very busy, but nice social atmosphere! The two women behind the bar had no personality! I stated it was our first time! There was no warm welcome at all! We didn't even want to ask for recommendations of the menu. We still tipped 20% and the didn't even say have a godess night, thanks for coming! It's a great thing the food was good cause service was horrible. We'll never go back!

I had never heard of this place until I went once out of the blue. Great environment and really good hookah flavors. Pretty good drink selection also.

Decent price on drinks. Fantastic food! especially the brussel sprouts. I recommend their curry, mac&cheese, wings, edamame, anything on the menu. I've never eaten anything there that i didn't love.

Good place for a Friday night.

Portions are not large, but aren't tiny. Food is excellent. Kitchen is still open til like midnight, unlike most bars. Atmosphere is really relaxed and comfortable. It's a nice space. Service is good. Great vegetarian options. Can't wait to go back and try more!

One of the best little spots in Tremont

Great food! I'm always a little worried when I see a vegan menu, but even to someone who doesn't typically eat a vegan diet, the food was excellent as we're the drinks. Truly a hidden gem.

Nice place to grab a drink.

Cool urban bohemian bar atmosphere with awesome food. The menu is diverse and creative. Very vegetarian/vegan friendly, but there is a killer fried chicken sandwich and burger too. Music is always good and there are DJs Friday and Saturday nights. Nice crowd. Truly one of the most unique and interesting spots around town.

Lava lounge has excellent food at a great price, very good cocktails, and some of the best bar tenders in Cleveland. I highly recommend it as a chill place to meet up with friends for food and drinks.

Been here exactly once and I love this place. The food is terrific and Jessica is a terrific bartender. the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place more highlyEdit: went there a second time and their chef/cook is just the best. I got these wings with a peanut sauce and it's just bloody amazing.All hail the chef whose name I failed to collect but worked on july 28th 2019! Hail! Hail! Hail!
